Night snorkeling is an activity that can be
practiced by all members of the family. All it takes is the basic snorkel gear
and a flashlight. Kaş coast is the perfect setting to do a night snorkel tour. It's underwater walls
By night you get a chance to observe life
that just doesn't come out by daylight time; like the elusive octopus that
mostly hunts in dark like conditions. It's really mesmerizing to watch it on
the crab, prowl, how it pokes and probes its way through the rock bottom. You
can see how the octopus changes color as it feels its way around and mimics the
surrounding. You may have a chance to see a sleeping sea turtle (Caretta caretta)
at the bottom.
The underwater world seems much more alive,
colorful and softer during nighttime. By watching them under our light, we
restore the natural colors that are not even visible during daytime!
Another interesting thing to observe while
night snorkeling is the way micro marine life glows when excited. Stirring the
water in front of you can create this luminescence, and then enjoy watching
these greenish sparks.

is Night Snorkeling?
It is an experience that you cannot leave Kaş without doing. You will see
the underwater world in a way you have not seen it before. Some fish sleep,
some take a nap, and some just start “the day” with some “late
breakfast!!"
So when you are in Kaş Archipelago, don't miss

As the sun starts to
set, the denizens of the deep make ready for the arrival of darkness.
Those animals too timid
to exit during the day now leave their havens in search of food.
Eels forage the reefs
looking for some of their favorite prey; sleeping parrotfish.
At night the some of
sea creatures now deprived of sunlight, extend their sticky polyps /
extremities to capture the passing zoo plankton.
What
we can offer:
A guide that can explain everything you want to know and take you around
to some secret spots close to the shore.
If you need it, we supply dive light, mask, snorkel, fins and flotation
jackets. In most cases we can also give you a wetsuit. This is all free for you
to use.
For comfort and safety; minimum 4 and maximum 6 persons in a group. For
+6 groups we supply another guide.
When:
Night snorkeling is offered from Tuesdays through Fridays, with is a
minimum of four. When you call, you will be scheduled for the next available
day.

It is a must that you have snorkeled at least once prior to joining the
night snorkel. But you do not have to be experienced to enjoy this. Remember it
is natural to be a little nervous, but that will pass soon after you have seen
the beauty underneath the waves. You better not to take your dinner and
alcoholic drinks just before the activity. There should be a time gap
(dinner-activity) at least 2 hrs before snorkeling.
